Only in New York - Ostrich Eggs

I think "Only in New York" might end up being a series of posts to this blog. While I'm sure they're available for purchase in other cities around the world, this was the first time I'd seen one in a supermarket. The Whole Foods on Columbus Circle sells individual ostrich eggs (at $40 a pop) right along side the chicken eggs (and probably quail, and others, but I was so awestruck by the enormous ostrich eggs, I didn't really pay attention to their surroundings.)

I wonder if Julian would be allergic to those too?
